Episode 17: The War Gets Bigger

At ABS-CBN's base of operations...

Mr. Lopez: Nararamdaman ko na! Nararamdaman ko talaga! Ang masamang pwersang namumuo sa kabila... kahit na patay na si Gozon! Ang pwersang ito ang wawasak sa pinakamamahal kong kumpanya... kaya dapat kong pigilin ang pwersang iyon, gamit ang aking mga kamay! At mas marami pang resources!

Ms. Charo then butts in.

Ms. Charo: Excuse me, Pareng Gabby. Ang dami-dami naman nating resources para pigilin ang mga atake ng kabila. Nandyan na si Voltes V, nandyan na si Raijin-Oh, nandyan na ang orbital attack satellite na binili natin mula sa NASA na pagkamahal-mahal. Magdadagdag ka pa?
Mr. Lopez: Sabi nga nila, "You can never have too much protection". Kaya isu-summon ko ang Destiny Gundam at ang piloto nito na si Shinn Asuka!
Ms. Charo: Ngek! Ide-delay mo ang nakatakdang pag-ere ng "Gundam Seed Destiny", tapos isu-summon mo ang isang character mula roon? Pambihira!
Mr. Lopez: Di bale na. Kapag natuwa ako sa gagawin ni Shinn para sa akin, sa wakas ay matutupad ko na ang kahilingan ng nakararaming anime fan!
Ms. Charo: Ayos! Matutuwa ang kaluluwa ni Kapitan [Geny Lopez, Jr.]!
Mr. Lopez: Sinabi mo pa.

Mr. Lopez then prepares for the summoning.

Mr. Lopez: Hal'wath qwertyious tasbu kapamilyasis pataysus kalabansus! Shinn Asuka, I summon you!

After a few seconds, Shinn appears in front of Mr. Lopez. The Destiny Gundam, meanwhile, is placed in the hangar where the Freedom and Aegis Gundams were once docked.

Shinn: Ughhh... (makes threatening pose) Sino kayo?
Mr. Lopez: Saglit lang... Hindi ako ang kaaway mo, Shinn Asuka.
Shinn: Kung hindi kayo kaaway, sino ka ba talaga? At bakit alam mo ang pangalan ko?
Mr. Lopez: Ako si Gabby Lopez, ang pinuno ng ABS-CBN. Kilala kita dahil plano kong ipalabas ang show mo dito sa bansang Pilipinas.
Shinn: Talaga po, sir?
Mr. Lopez: Kapalit ng ipapagawa ko sa iyo.
Shinn: Ano po?
Mr. Lopez: Gamit ang iyong Gundam na nasa hangar ngayon ng ELJ Communications Center na ating kinatatayuan, pati na ang ibang mga armas na lubusan kong pinaghandaan, talunin mo ang ating pinakamatinding kaaway: ang GMA! Matakaw kasi sila sa ratings at ngayon ay aatakehin nila tayo gamit ang mga nuclear missiles.
Shinn: Pag-iisipan ko po, sir.
Mr. Lopez: Pero huwag kang magtatagal sa inyong pagdedesisyon.

While Mr. Lopez lets Shinn decide for himself, he calls Jin Hyuga, the lead pilot of Raijin-Oh, who did well in the Big Brother House siege some months ago along with his team.

Shinn: Sir Gabby, nakapagdesisyon na po ako. Lalaban na ako.
Mr. Lopez: Magaling, Mr. Asuka. Ngayon, hinihintay na natin ang isa pa nating kaalyado. Magmeryenda ka muna habang naghihintay.

Shinn munches on some cookies that Ms. Charo brought from a close friend of hers.

A few minutes later...

Jin: Jin Hyuga, reporting for duty.
Ms. Charo: Please come in.
Mr. Lopez: Hyuga, kaya pinapunta ka rito ay para ipakilala ko sa iyo ang bago nating kaalyado: si Shinn Asuka.
Shinn: Ikinagagalak kitang makita. (shakes hands with Jin)
Jin: Ako rin po.
Mr. Lopez: Ngayon, Asuka, Hyuga, nakaamba na ang atake ng GMA. Kung gagamitin nila ang mga nuclear missiles, huwag mag-atubiling mag-counterattack. Gamitin ninyo ang mga malalakas na sandata ng mga robot ninyo sa magiging counterattack ninyo. And minimize collateral damage as much as possible. Maliwanag?
Shinn & Jin: (salutes) Yes, sir!

Meanwhile, at GMA's base of operations (a.k.a. People's Republic of Gozon)...

Ms. Galvante: (while viewing the developments at ABS-CBN via a monitor) Mga tinamaan ng ano! Nagdagdag pa sila ng isa pang pesteng Gundam! Ang hilig nilang mamirata ng mga robot natin, no? Sige, kung sagupaang robot-sa-robot ang gusto nila, hindi tayo aatras doon! At Pareng Gozon, kahit wala ka na sa katawang tao, ikaw ang magunguna sa paghihiganti natin!

She prepares for a chant, and then...

Ms. Galvante: Kouzakh tsacmot tsvi'kl jakhal kapusus numerus unus! Souls of Felipe Gozon and Emily Abrera, arise from your slumber and fuse with the tower of power and weapons of mass destruction to lay complete and utter waste on our sworn enemies!

In an instant, the souls of Gozon and Abrera make their way to the GMA Tower, where the nuclear missiles that are still aimed at ABS-CBN are placed. And as expected, they fuse with the tower and missiles.

Ms. Galvante: Halvum enienxip aznaghy fibliklio orochium! Rainbow Serpent, materialize!
Out of that mixture of ether, steel, and radioactive elements comes a huge, colorful, yet menacing, mechanical serpent.

Ms. Galvante: Mahusay! Ngayon, mapupulbos na sa kawalan ang mga Lopez! At tayo pa rin, mga Kapuso, ang mananaig magpakailanman!
Voice 1: Kung ganito kayo kaagresibo, yari ka!
Voice 2: Hindi ko kayo pinahihintulutang gumamit ng pinakamaitim sa mga maiitim na mahika para lang sa isang simpleng away!
Voice 3: Manang-mana kayo kay Gozon. Walang sinasanto. Napakabrutal.
Ms. Galvante: Michael V., Angel Locsin, at Genjo Sanzo? Hindi ninyo dapat iwanan ang mga trabaho ninyo!
Michael V.: Di baleng iwanan ang trabaho natin, basta't walang gumagawa ng anumang nakasisira sa kabila, kahit na kakumpetisyon natin sila!
Angel: Kung meron akong natutunan mula sa mga pagganap sa mga telefantasya, iyon ay ang gamitin ang kapangyarihan sa patas na paraan!
Sanzo: Gusto ba ninyong madamay ang mga inosenteng kababayan? Hinding-hindi iyan mapapahintulutan ni Panginoong Buddha!
Ms. Galvante: Mga traydor kayo! Balakid lang kayo sa plano ko!

Ms. Galvante then summons... Invader Zim.

Invader Zim: DESTROY ALL HUMANS!
Sanzo: Innabuso rin ninyo ang kapangyarihan ninyo bilang isang summoner. Bilang isa ring summoner, hindi ko pinapayagan ang ginawa ninyo!
Ms. Galvante: Sige, Zim! Wasakin silang mga traydor!



A BOSS BATTLE COMMENCES!

Enemy: Invader Zim (HP: ????)

Angel chooses to cast Fusion on herself. She is transformed into Darna.
Sanzo chooses to summon Kamen Rider RX. Kamen Rider RX's attack, Ribolcane, is targeted at Invader Zim. But Invader Zim dodges the attack!
Invader Zim chooses to do nothing.
Angel (as Darna) chooses to attack Invader Zim. But Invader Zim dodges the attack!
Sanzo chooses to attack Invader Zim. But Invader Zim dodges the attack!

Invader Zim chooses to cast Destroy All Humans! on all allies. He deals 9999 damage to each ally. Both Angel and Sanzo are KO'd.

Michael V.: Ughh... Yari... kaaa... (passes out)
Angel: Hindi... mananaig... ang mahika mo... (passes out)
Sanzo: Patawad... aking kapatid... (passes out)
Ms. Galvante: HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Magaling ang ipinakita mo, Zim! Ngayon, gamit ang hacking skills mo, i-hack mo na ang ABS-CBN forums para wala nang bibisita sa pipitsuging website nila!
Invader Zim: Yes, ma'am.

Zim then takes out a laptop and connects it to the Internet. With his l33t h4x0r skillz, he breaks into the ABS-CBN BBS, applying malicious code in order to render it useless.

Ms. Galvante: Ngayon, wala nang makapipigil pa sa napipintong tagumpay ng mga Kapuso! At para naman sa mga traydor na nasa harap ko, hindi sila babalik kailanman! Qaz wesdixoc umrov! Banish those traitors to no man's land!

A black globe appears and sucks the three "traitors" away from GMA for good.

Now, back to ABS-CBN.

After Mr. Lopez sends Shinn and Jin to battle, Julius Babao suddenly rushes in.

Julius Babao: Sir Gabby! May masamang development!
Mr. Lopez: Ano iyon, Julius?
Julius Babao: Base sa isa sa mga impormante ko, mukhang lumikha ang GMA ng isang malaking robot na kung tawagin ay Rainbow Serpent! At ayon sa kanya, taglay pa rin niya ang mga nuclear missiles! Pati ang forums natin, na-hack umano nila!
Mr. Lopez: Mga war freak talaga sila! Sige, Julius, you may leave.
Julius Babao: Yes, sir. (leaves)
Ms. Charo: Haaayyy... talaga bang natural sa kanila ang pagiging war freak?
Mr. Lopez: Hindi ito maiiwasan sapagkat alam na alam natin ang ugali nila. Kung ang katotohanang tayo ang no. 1 sa puso ng mga Pilipino ang ipinaglalaban natin, dapat todo-todo ang pagsisikap. Sige, Ma'am Charo, tawagin mo sina Asuka at Hyuga. Sabihin mo sa kanila na dapat nilang pagsamahin ang apat nating alas: si Voltes V, si Raijin-Oh, ang Destiny Gundam, at ang orbital attack satellite... para buuin ang ating pinakamakapangyarihang robot -- ang Tempest Sarimanok!
Ms. Charo: Kumbinsing! Sige, tatawagin ko sila sa mga cellphone nila.

Ms. Charo then calls Shinn and Jin, who are about to deploy their own robots. The two pilots' reaction?

Jin: Ha? May malaking robot ang GMA? Sige, dahil naniniwala ako sa pagsasama-sama, papayag na ako sa robot fusion proposal n'yo, Ma'am Charo.
Shinn: Sige, kung anuman ang gagawin para tayo'y manalo, game ako!
Ms. Charo: Mabuti naman! Sige, i-deploy ninyo ang mga mecha ninyo!

Without further ado, Mr. Lopez and Ms. Charo activate some controls to begin the robot fusion sequence. As soon as Raijin-Oh and the Destiny Gundam are deployed...

Mr. Lopez: Deploy Voltes V in auto-pilot mode!
Ms. Charo: Summon the orbital attack satellite!

Both Voltes V and the satellite go near the position of Raijin-Oh and the Destiny Gundam.

Mr. Lopez and Ms. Charo: Tempest Sarimanok Fusion Sequence, commence!
Shinn and Jin: Affirmative!

In a lengthy yet impressive sequence (I won't go into detail since the sequence is very complicated, I tell you), the Tempest Sarimanok is being formed. At the end of the sequence, the final resultant mecha poses bravely, with thunder effects in the background for good measure.

Shinn and Jin: Tempest Sarimanok, ready for action!
Mr. Lopez and Ms. Charo: Asuka, Hyuga, good luck.

Some minutes later, the two giant mechas approach towards each other; and, in the area of Quezon City that is in between the vicinities of the two rival networks -- they go vis-a-vis.

While the impeding climax of the network war is about to start, meanwhile, at an unknown place...

Mysterious pirate leader: Patawad, aking kamahalan. Nabigo ang plano naming suhulan ang ABS-CBN para inisin at pabagsakin ang mga anime fan!
????: Tumahimik ka! Dalawang beses ka nang pumalpak. Pag naka-third strike ka na, out ka!
Mysterious pirate leader: Opo, kamahalan. Gagawa na po kami ng mas mabisang plano.
????: Sige. Pwede ka nang umalis.

The mysterious pirate leader leaves, and in his place, a messenger comes.

Messenger: Kamahalan! Mukhang nag-aaway na ang ABS-CBN at GMA. Katunayan nga, nagpadala sila ng mga malalaking robot nila para labanan ang isa't-isa!
????: Hmmm... hindi ko inaasahan ito, pero matimbang na rin. Sige, pwede ka nang umalis.
Messenger: Opo, kamahalan. (leaves)
????: Aaaahhhh. Iyan na ang pagkakataon ko para lumikha ng mas malaking gulo sa Pilipinas na pinapangarap kong sakupin nang buo! Lalagyan ko ang mga robot ng ABS-CBN at GMA ng mahika para magiging brutal sila sa pakikipaglaban! Doon lilikha ng gulong gustong-gusto ko! BWAHAHAHA!!!

Before the strategy battle starts, the opposing sides first exchange verbal tussles once they have readied their positions on the bay.

Mysterious pirate leader: Har har har! Kahit nagimbita pa kayo ng dalawang malalaking robot, wala sila sa Rune Cannon namin!
Athrun: Sige, patunayan mo kung may ibubuga ang Rune Cannon mo!
Mysterious pirate leader: Siguradong diretso sa junk shop ang robot mo, pangahas! Fire!

The Rune Cannon fires a glowing cannonball that has homing capabilities. The cannonball finds its way to the Aegis Gundam, and then it hits the mech's left leg, chopping off a portion of it.

Athrun: Aaaahhh! Bakit hindi ako makailag sa atakeng iyon!
Kira: Ha? Ako rin, hindi ko maigalaw ang Freedom!
Mysterious pirate leader: Bwahahaha! Gawa kasi ang cannonball na iyon sa isang espesyal na metal na kayang mag-ipon ng lakas ng kidlat, kaya sisiw ang mga robot na tapunan!
Reverie: Pakiusap, tigilan mo ang pang-iinsulto sa mga robot na tulad ko at ng mga Gundam!
Ayu: Uguu! Talagang ginagalit n'yo kami!

The Ren'ai Rangers prepare to transform, but...

Mizuki, Asa, Ayu, Misuzu, Arcueid, Saber: Ren'ai Rangers, power up! Ha?
Mizuki: Bakit hindi kami makapag-transform?
Mysterious pirate leader: Har har har! Hindi rin kayo makakapag-transform dahil na rin sa Rune Cannon! Lahat ng posible ninyong mga atake't stratehiya, walang epekto sa amin! Har har har!

Hyacinth: Ayoko pang mamatay ang wala sa oras...
Ogie: (as Gosh Abelgosh) Akala natin, kayang-kaya natin sila. Hindi pala. May mga kahinaan tayong hindi namalayan.
Kira: Olats na tayo. Bagsak na ang morale natin. Una pa nating laban bilang mga kasapi ng Nueva Liga Filipina, tapos ganyan na?

It seems that all is lost, and the pirates are ready for a full-on assault to wipe out our heroes. But suddenly, Athrun's cellphone (acquired from a close associate of Sir Mike's) suddenly rings. Athrun reads the message.

Sir Mike: (texting) Athrun, meron pang paraan para manalo sa labang ito.
Athrun: (texting back) Ano iyon, Sir Mike?
Sir Mike: (texting) May nilikha akong kanta na akmang-akma sa inyo, salamat sa tulong ni pareng Lito. Dapat ninyong kantahin ni Kira para taasan ang morale nating lahat.

Sir Mike then relays the song (in MP4 format, no less!) to the Aegis Gundam's control panel.

Athrun: Kira! Meron na tayong epektibong paraan para taasan ang morale natin.
Kira: Ano iyon?
Athrun: Ang kantang ginawa ni Sir Mike! Dapat tayong dalawa ang kumanta!
Kira: Cool! Sige, game ako!

The two Gundam pilots prepare for the song, and...

(Glorious orchestral intro coming out of the Gundams' sound system)

Kira and Athrun: 1, 2, 3, 4!

The song is finished, and something miraculous happens. The Ren'ai Rangers, Hero, and Sandara are bathed in a milky-white light. They wonder at first what happened, but afterwards...

Mizuki, Asa, Ayu, Misuzu, Arcueid, Saber: Ren'ai Rangers, power up! Ha!

The Ren'ai Rangers are finally transformed. As for Hero and Sandara...

Hero: Transform into Mysterio!
Sandara: Transform into Sohee!

Hero and Sandara's transformations, which were sealed off after their last adventure, re-emerge to aid them once again in battle.

Hero: Ayos! Nagbalik na ang dating transformation ko!
Sandara: Salamat sa mga dakilang espiritu! Nagbalik na rin ang dating lakas ko!
Joseph: Grr! Naiinggit tuloy ako sa inyo! Gusto ko kayo tuloy lisanin! Hmph! (glows) Ha?

Joseph wonders why he glows, and then...

Cristy and Alfie's voices: Joseph, bilang pagtulong sa iyo at bilang pagpapatawad kay Hero, binigyan ka namin ng kapangyarihan upang tulungan siya at ang ibang mga kasama ninyo sa iyong magiging malakihang laban para sa pagkakaisa. Ginawaran ka namin ng kapangyarihang magpalit-anyo bilang Black Gladiator. Sige, humayo ka!

Joseph: OK! Hero, Sandara, hindi kayo nag-iisa! Transform into Black Gladiator!

A transformation sequence occurs, and Joseph turns into the Black Gladiator. Meanwhile, the ailments that the Gundams suffer are now alleviated. Even the chopped-off part of the Aegis is restored.

Kira and Athrun: Salamat, Sir Mike! Himala nga ang nangyari! Pati mga Gundam natin, himala ring naikumpuni!
Sir Mike: Walang himala! Nasa tao pa rin ang himala!
Matthew Luke: Hay salamat. Bumalik na ang sigla natin.
Hyacinth: Heh. Sinabi mo pa, Matt! Ngayon, durog kayong mga pirata!
Ogie: (as Gosh Abelgosh) Walang dudang tumaas ang morale ng samahan natin matapos ang ginawa ni Sir Mike.
Mysterious pirate leader: Walang hiya kayo! Isang kanta lang, nasira na ang sealing function ng Rune Cannon?! Mga hampas-lupa! Mga anak- at amoy-pawis! Pagbabayaran ninyo ito sa isang labanan hanggang kamatayan! Sige, mga bata, LUSOB!!!

The outcome of this strategy battle? Let's just say that the Friendly Units sink the Combat Ships, the Ram, and the Archer Ship with their long-range specials; and then they all approach the Rune Cannon Ship to eliminate its occupants and put a halt to its powerful cannon attacks.

Hyacinth: Ang tamis ng unang tagumpay ng Nueva Liga Filipina!
Ayu: Yehey!
Misuzu: Gao Gao Stegosaurus!
Reverie: Sana'y hindi sila bumalik upang manggulo uli.
Setsumi: (smiles) ...

STRATEGY BATTLE ENDS IN A MAJOR VICTORY!

Ogie: Magsisiyasat muna tayo kung mayroon pang mga nalalabing kalaban.
Kira: Walang problema. Activate enemy sensors. (checks the entirety of Manlia Bay) No enemy units detected.
Sir Mike: O sige, umalis na tayo dahil tapos na ang laban. Everyone, prepare to withdraw!
Matthew Luke: Ogie, pwede bang maiwan muna kami?
Ogie: Bakit naman?
Matthew Luke: Kasi... may aasikasuhin lang kami ng mga bago nating kasama, sina Reverie Planetarian at Setsumi.
Ogie: (as Gosh Abelgosh) OK lang sa amin. Basta dapat umuwi kayo nang maaga para naman maipakilala sa amin sina Reverie at Setsumi.

As everyone except Matt, Hyacinth, Ayu, Misuzu, Reverie, and Setsumi makes its way back to Balay Kapatiran, Setsumi wants to assure something to the two childhood friends.

Setsumi: Siguro'y hindi nila ako pababayaan hindi tulad ng mga doktor at nars na nakasalamuha ko dati sa ikapitong palapag.
Hyacinth: Wag kang mag-alala, Setsumi. Kahit na espiritu ka, hindi ka nila pagtutuunan ng pangungutya.
Setsumi: Siguraduhin ninyo, mga bago kong kaibigan.

However, a giant mechanical crab forces its way through the Baywalk, surprising Matt and co.

Ayu: Uguu! Ano na naman ito?

The mechanical crab's hatch opens, revealing the mysterious pirate leader himself.

Mysterious pirate leader: Arr! Akala ninyong basta-basta lang ang pagkatalo namin? Hindi! Pinaghandaan namin ito kung sakaling mawala ang aming mga barko: ang Fiddler Crab Mk. II! Dahil sa malaki nitong sipit at malakas na 35mm gun, siguradong makakabawi kami sa inyong mga hinayupak! Bwahahahaha!

Reverie sets her sights on the Fiddler Crab, and then faints.

Misuzu: Revvie! Anong nangyari sa iyo?
Reverie: Ang... giant... combat... machine... na ito...
Hyacinth: Wag ka munang magsalita! Kami na ang bahala rito, OK?
Matthew Luke: Grr! Dinamay mo pa ang kaibigan naming robot!
Setsumi: Hindi mapapatawad ang kalapastangang ito.
Mysterious pirate leader: Har har har! Mas malakas ang robot ko kaysa sa robot n'yo! Kaya ihanda na ang mga lapida n'yo! (closes hatch)

The band of pirates then leave the Baywalk via teleportation.

Matthew Luke: Hindi magdi...diwang...? Magda...dalo...?
Setsumi: Bukas makalawa, malalaman mo rin kung anong ibig nilang sabihin.
Hyacinth: (holding Reverie) O, Matt, mukhang OK na ngayon si Revvie.
Matthew Luke: Salamat sa Diyos at ligtas siya. Bakit kaya siya hinimatay nang makita niya ang robot na iyon?

Just then, Matt's cellphone rings. He answers it immediately.

Matthew Luke: (on the phone) Oh, hello. Si Matt ito.
Boy: (on the phone) Si Boy ito. Matt, umuwi kayo nina Hyacinth, Ayu, Misuzu, at ang mga bago ninyong kasama dahil merong bagong ipakikilalang mga panibagong kaalyado sa ating samahan. Narinig ko na darating doon si AFP Chief of Staff Gen. Hermogenes Esperon, kaya di dapat kayo mahuli sa pagdating.
Matthew Luke: Understood. Bye. (hangs up)

The Tenkai Star faces his buddies, and then smiles as he begins his exposition.

Matthew Luke: Mga kaibigan, mukhang madadagdagan ang ating mga kasama. At iyan ay isang malaking adbantahe sa atin.
Hyacinth: Wow! Magandang balita talaga iyan! Hmm... sino kaya ang mga magiging kasama natin?
Setsumi: Pakiramdam ko... manggagaling sila sa mga malalayong dako ng bansang ito. Sila'y pawang mga babae na nakaranas na ng matinding pagsubok.
Misuzu: Well, kung sinuman sila, dapat natin silang pangalagahan bilang mga kasama sa hirap at ginhawa!
Ayu: Korek ka dyan!
Reverie: Ihahanda ko ang database ko para sa mga pagkakakilanlan sa kanila. At sana'y ikumpuni rin sa lalong madaling panahon ang mga sira sa system ko.
Matthew Luke: OK, mga kasama. Oras na para bumalik sa base! Magta-taxi tayo, siyempre.
Hyacinth: Matt, hatian ba ang bayad o hindi?

As Matt and co. prepare to leave Baywalk and head back to Balay Kapatiran, things take a turn for the worse, as ABS-CBN and GMA are readying their offensives to see who will dominate the Philippine broadcasting sphere. Find out what the rival networks are up to in the next episode!

And now, after witnessing Nene's and Keanna's sagas, we're going back to Manila. Where we last left Matt and company...

Matthew Luke: Sa wakas! Narating din natin ang Baywalk!
Hyacinth: Matt, huwag ka namang maging over-excited.
Reverie: Ganito pala ang paligid dito sa Baywalk. Masinag at maaliwalas, hindi tulad sa panahong pinanggalingan ko.
Ayu: Ano yun, Revvie?
Reverie: Sa panahon ng digmaan.
Misuzu: Masalimuot pala ang nakaraan mo, gao...

And then, the voice of a girl resonates in the environs on the Baywalk, startling Matt and co., as well as the casual visitors and commuters who stop by this place.

Girl's voice: Katapusan...
Hyacinth: Yan ba ang babaeng sinasabi ninyo, Ayu at Misuzu?
Ayu & Misuzu: Walang duda! Siya nga!
Girl's voice: Narating ko na ba... ang katapusan?
Matthew Luke: Medyo naguguluhan ako sa sinasabi niya, eh.

Just then, a figure of a girl who wears an outfit similar to a school uniform shows up at Rajah Sulayman Park, which is just opposite the Baywalk via Roxas Boulevard.

Hyacinth: Ayan! Nakita natin siya! Magkasing-mukha kasi siya ng nasa litratong nakita ko sa diyaryo tungkol sa kanya!
Matthew Luke: Kung gayo'y totoo nga ang mga bali-balita! Dali! Tawid tayo! Baka mawala siya!

And so they cross Roxas Boulevard carefully without violating traffic rules or getting hit by speeding vehicles.

Once they set foot on Rajah Sulayman Park...

Girl: Bakit kayo naparito?
Matthew Luke: Kasi... gusto lang naming makita ka ng dalawa naming mga mata.
Girl: Maganda kung tutuusin, pero... may itatanong muna ako sa inyo.
Reverie: Ano iyon?
Girl: Tinatanong ko ang sarili nang makailang ulit... narating ko na ba ang katapusan?
Hyacinth: Ang labo mo. Pakilinaw nga.
Girl: Ang ibig kong sabihin... nawala ba ako sa mundong ito, na walang pakialam sa akin? Maliban lamang sa isang binatilyong nag-aruga sa akin hanggang sa nilunod ko ang sarili?
Ayu: Uguu! Nagpakamatay ka?
Girl: Oo. Nagpakamatay ako sa isla ng Awaji.
Misuzu: Sa Japan?
Girl: Tama. Sa isang masinag na araw, sa mismong araw ng tag-lamig. Matagal na kasi akong sumuko sa dati kong buhay na napakamasalimuot dahil sa isang hindi-malunasang sakit na pinasan ko. Buti na lang at tinapos ko ang sarili kong buhay, hindi sa bahay ni sa ikapitong palapag.
Matthew Luke: Oo, nagpatiwakal ka nga, pero dahil sa isang medyo kakaibang himalang wala sa aming kontrol, napadpad ka dito sa bansa namin, ang Pilipinas. Kaya ang sagot sa tanong mo ay... hindi, no, nyet, nein, non, at iie.
Girl: Kung gayon... hindi pala ako nakarating... sa katapusan! Dapat sana ay nasa kabilang buhay ako... pero bakit?

The girl weeps, and in her weeping, the park suddenly changes into a snow-filled surrounding. Furthermore, the color of her clothing changes from cream and brown to white and blue. Matt and co., as well as several onlookers who rushed to get a glimpse of the girl they've learned from the rumors, shivers from the cold generated by the snow.

Matthew Luke: Brr! Ang lamig!
Hyacinth: Naku, nakalimutan ko kasi ang jacket ko! Di ko inaasahang mangyayari pala ito!
Misuzu: Gao! Lamiglamiglamig!
Ayu: Uguu? Mukhang hindi kayo sanay sa niyebe.
Reverie: Wala namag epekto sa akin ang niyebe, kaya...

Just then, the girl finishes her weeping. Then she begins to talk again.

Girl: Kung gayon, hindi pala ako nakarating sa katapusan, dahil... noong nasa gitna ako ng buhay at kamatayan, may isang babae na kumausap sa akin. Sinabi niya na kahit na espiritu ako, hindi pa rin ako mahihimlay nang tahimik hangga't hindi ko natutulungan ang 107 pang katao na puksain ang salot sa isang lupalop na nasa labas ng Hapon. Binalewala ko iyon dati, ngunit ngayon... nalaman ko na. Kayo pala ang kabahagi ng mga tinatawag ng "Stars of Destiny" na dapat kong aniban.
Matthew Luke: Hindi namin alam na sasali ka pala, eh. O sige, anong pangalan mo?
Girl: Setsumi. Yun lang.
Hyacinth: Ngayong ipinakilala mo ang sarili mo sa amin, sige na! Magsanib tayo ng pwersa, Setsumi!
Setsumi: Gagawin ko iyon, pagkatapos ng isang pagsubok mula sa akin.
Ayu: Uguu?
Setsumi: Patunayan ninyo sa akin kung gaano kayo kalakas at katatag sa pakikipaglaban. (brings out a needle)
Matthew Luke & Hyacinth: Kung gusto mo, gusto rin namin! Laban kung laban!

With the end of the battle comes the reverting of the snowy field back to the sunny atmosphere of Rajah Sulayman Park, as well as the reverting of Setsumi's outfit color. And of course, the coldness is gone.

Setsumi: Kaya, mula ngayon, aanib na ako sa inyo, mga Stars of Destiny.

Setsumi offers a handshake, and Matthew Luke gracefully accepts it. The onlookers give a round of applause.

But suddenly, the rounds of applause are broken by an explosion in the Baywalk.

Hyacinth: Ang Baywalk!
Ayu: Uguu! Baka may sumasalakay!
Setsumi: ...Oo, may sumasalakay.
Reverie: Sige, bumalik na tayo roon! Pero mag-ingat tayo.

As Matt and co. head back to the Baywalk, a group of pirates ravage the shores of Manila Bay in their ships of wood and steel, catching them by surprise. More explosions follow, no thanks to the huge cannon that the pirates' mother ship has.

Matthew Luke: Mga pirata pala kayo, ha? Bakit kayo sumasalakay dito sa Baywalk?
Mysterious pirate leader: Arr! Kayong mga walang pinagaralan, makinig kayong mabuti. Ngayon ay pinupuwersa namin ang ABS-CBN na mag-report nang hindi patas tungkol sa anime at hentai kapalit ng malaking halaga ng pera! Ilalabas ang report na iyon sa huling bahagi ng Oktubre ng taong ito para mabuwang ang mga pesteng anime fan na walang pagmamalasakit sa Inang Bayan! Gagawin namin iyon matapos mabigo ang dati naming plano na pagmanipulahin sina Felipe Gozon at Emily Abrera!
Matthew Luke: Ha! Kayo pala ang may pakana ng kawalang-hiyaang ito!
Misuzu: Binigo namin ang dati ninyong plano, at bibiguin din namin ang kasalukuyan mong plano, nihaha!
Mysterious pirate leader: Arr! Kayong mga pampasira ng kasarinlan ng Pilipino, humanda kayo! Sa pamamagitan ng pinagsamang lakas ng aming mga tauhan at ang Rune Cannon namin, siguradong uuwi kayo na may bulak sa ilong! Hahahahaha!!!
Matthew Luke: Sana'y isaksak mo na lang... alam mo na kung saan.
Mysterious pirate leader: Grrr! Talagang ginagalit ninyo ako! Sige, mga bata, LUSOB!

The pirates launch a massive charge towards Matt and co.

Setsumi: Mukhang... hindi natin sila kakayanin...
Voice from behind: Diyan kayo nagkakamali.
Hyacinth: Ha? Ogie?

Ogie, as well as some other Stars of Destiny who did nothing but slack after the quick and efficient renovation of Balay Kapatiran, shows up behind Matt and co.

Ogie: (as Gosh Abelgosh) Tama. Noong nalaman namin na may sumasalakay dito sa Manila Bay, agad kaming rumesponde rito, salamat sa isang supercomputer na ininstall namin sa HQ.
Mike: At saka dahil mga pirata ang mga kalaban natin, minabuti namin na ipahiram natin ang mga yate mula sa Philippine Yacht Club para maging patas ang laban.
Kira: (piloting the Freedom Gundam) At siyempre hindi mawawala ang mga Gundam!
Mysterious pirate leader: Grrr! Nag-imbita pala kayo ng mga bisita, ha? Pwes, dito mismo sa Manila Bay tayo magkakasubukan. At sa huli, kayong mga asungot na balakid sa aming plano ay lulubog sa kumunoy! Hahahaha!
Matthew Luke: Sige, mga pirata! Simulan na nating lahat ang New Battle of Manila Bay!
The rest of his allies who arrived: Sige!

Both the Nueva Liga Filipina and the pirates ready their positions on the bay, and then, the battle on the bay is about to start.
