Episode 10: Exodus / Laguardia's List

The exodus has began.

The thirty-odd people who left the premises of ABS-CBN have nowhere to go... or so in their wildest dreams.

Matthew Luke: Masakit nga. Hindi na tayo pangangalagaan pa ng ABS.
Hyacinth: At dito sa EDSA, baka may mangyaring masama sa ating lahat. Lalo na kung malaki ang grupo natin.
Athrun: At pagpipiyestahan ng mga loko-loko ang mga Gundam namin.
Matthew Luke: (light bulb appears) Aha! Meron akong naisip!
The rest: Ano?
Matthew Luke: Pupunta na lang tayong lahat doon sa bahay ko at sa bahay ni Hyacinth. Magkapitbahay kasi kami.
Hyacinth: Pero kung iisipin ninyong sabay-sabay tayong pupunta, mali ang akala ninyo. Heto, bibigyan namin kayo ng address namin. Kayo ang pupunta nang hiwalay at sa magkakaibang oras para walang suspetsa.
Mizuki: Sige, game kaming lahat!

And Matt and Hyacinth give their addresses, plus several directions in order to get to the destination, in their own handwriting to their fellows. Soon after, the group disperses, with each member finding individual ways to get to the two's houses.

July 20, 2006.

The two childhood friends are waiting for their fellows to arrive at their houses as instructed (remember, their houses are next to each other). Some of them have come already, namely the Ren'ai Rangers, Hero and co., and the ABS-CBN Anime Force.

Meanwhile, an edict has been released by the MTRCB, right in front of many reporters.

MTRCB Chairman Consoliza Laguardia: By the power vested in me, the following anime shows have been evaluated and thus considered to be banned in Philippine airwaves.

She then gives a PowerPoint presentation of the titles that she referred to as banned.

Laguardia: We made this edict in order to prevent catastrophes that occurred with the airing of Maria-sama ga Miteru. If anyone should violate this edict, we have no other choice but to put the violators to swift and immediate death. That is all.

Later that day, the rest of the fellows arrive safely at Matt's and Hyacinth's houses. The group gathers in front of them, along a modestly-sized street.

Matthew Luke: Mabuti naman at nadito kayong lahat na ligtas at buo.
Hyacinth: Medyo matagal ang hinintay naming dalawa, pero mabuti't matagumpay ang plano natin.
Willie: Hmm... ang lalaki pala ng mga bahay ninyo... kapag pinagsama ang mga iyon, mas malaki pa ito sa set ng Wowowee.
Matthew Luke: Pareho kaming mga nasa upper-middle class kasi.
Hyacinth: Sige, pasok muna tayong lahat sa bahay ko. Tutal, medyo gutom tayong lahat, kaya naghanda ang mga magulang ko ng meryenda.
The rest of the group: Sige.

Hyacinth introduces her parents to the rest of the group.

Hyacinth: Ito po ang tatay ko, si Reginald. Ito po naman ang nanay ko, si Ma. Yukina.
Reginald & Ma. Yukina: Nice to meet you all. Halina kayo, kumain muna.

The group munches on the tortilla chips with salsa that Hyacinth's parents served. Of course, some of them never forget to chat while eating.

Nash: Teka muna, yung salsa ba, gawa sa kamatis?
Nikki: Oo naman, Nash. Sinasabi ng mommy ko na maganda ang kamatis sa katawan dahil isa itong gulay.
Yumi: Pero napagaralan ko sa Lillian High na ang kamatis ay technically isang prutas.
Nash: Paano ninyo nalaman, Miss Yumi?
Yumi: Malalaman mo pagtuntong mo ng high school. Tuturuan ka kasi ng biology.
Nash: Biology? Di ba parang Bioman?
Pritong Kandule: P***, anong akala mo sa biology, sentai?
Kim: Ah-ah-ah. (covers P. Kandule's mouth) Ninong, bawas-bawasan mo naman ang pagmumura, lalo na pag may bata.
Misuzu: Nihaha. Si Ninong talaga, o.
Hattori: Hmph. Tama na ang pag-aargumento sa kamatis. Ubusin muna natin ang mga pagkain natin. Masarap pa naman ang tortillang may salsa.
Ma. Yukina: (approaching, carrying a tray full of drinks) Oh, kayong lahat, mag-juice muna.

While everybody drinks, Ogie once again takes on the persona of Gosh Abelgosh.

Ogie: Mga kaibigan, meron akong magandang plano para dito.
Sandara: Ano iyon, Gosh Abelgosh?
Ogie: Dahil pawang malalaki at magkalapit ang mga bahay nina Matt at Hyacinth, ipinapanukala ko na pagsamahin ang dalawa para gawing isang malaking base of operations para sa ating lahat.
Hero & Joseph: Magandang ideya iyan!
Kira: Hmm... oo.
Athrun: Dito na natin iparke ang mga Gundam natin!
Hyacinth: Ma, Pa, okey lang ba sa inyo?
Reginald: Hindi kami tutol dyan, as long as na walang manggugulo sa loob.
Ma. Yukina: At kung gagastusin ninyo ang renovation, ha?
Korina: Walang problema. Pag-iipunan nating lahat ang pera para sa renovation.
Boy: Ayan, final na ang plano para sa renova--

But before Boy finishes his sentence, Asa suddenly faints.

Mizuki: Asa! Gumising ka!
Ayu: Uguu... bakit nangyari ito?
Hattori: Kayong lahat, lumayo muna nang konti! Baka hinimatay si Asa. Lalapatan ko muna ng paunanang lunas.
Katie: A.k.a. first aid.

Afterwards, Rei suddenly enters the house.

Rei: Rosa Chinensis! Meron akong mensahe mula sa Lilian High!
Sachiko: Ano iyon, Rosa Foetida?
Rei: Ayon sa Mountain Lily Council, mukhang hindi tumitigil ang MTRCB sa pagtanggal sa mga "sensitibong" anime tulad ng MariMite! Meron pa raw halos 20 anime shows na ginawa nilang banned, at kasama pa ang show na pinagbibidahan ng isa sa mga kasama ninyo, si Miss Asa Shigure!
Yumi & Sachiko: What the heck?!
Katie: Ano naman kaya ang atraso ng MTRCB kay Asa?
Mirmo: Malay natin. Ewan ko ba kung ano ang nasa isip ng mga loko-lokong iyon.
Lito: Dok Hattori, pagpahingain mo muna si Asa sa taas.
Matthew Luke: Mukhang meron na naman tayong problemang kailangang aksyunan. Aksyon ngayon! Hindi salita, hindi pangako, hindi press release!

Meanwhile, back at ABS...

One of the country's prominent dubbers, Sir Mike Punzalan, feels bad about the MTRCB's edict.

Sir Mike: Ganito ba ang ginagawa ng isang ahensya ng pamahalaan that is supposed to be ONLY classifying shows, not banning or censoring them? Mukhang minamanipula na ang batas ng ilang taong makikitid ang utak. Sige... nagpasya na ako. I'll fight the MTRCB's edict, even if it costs me my own life.
