Episode 14: The Woman With the Machine Gun / Sinangkutsang Kontra-Bulate

Meanwhile, Nene Tamayo, the original PBB winner, sneaks into a jungle in Saranggani. As a Philippine Army reserve, she is on a recon mission there.

Nene: May natanggap akong lead na ang formula (sudden close-up of face, a.k.a. the Balitang K effect) Spectrum 90 (return to normal camera mode), na isang kemikal na kontra-bulate, ay minomodipika ngayon bilang isang weapon of mass destruction sa isang secret base dito sa kagubatan ng Saranggani. Ni-retrieve iyon ni Toni Falco: Agent X-Pulpol, ngunit bakit meron pa ring nagtangkang gumawa ng kawalang-hiyaang ito? Malalaman ko ito sa pagmamasid ko.

She searches the primarily lush green fields for clues, until a monster shows up.

Nene: Inaatake mo ako, ha? Pwes, wala kang kawala sa baril ko!

Nene: OK, itutuloy ko na ang pagmamasid.

After penetrating deeper, Nene finds an unbelieveable discovery. Five elaborately-designed high-speed spaceships glow brighter than the hot midday sun right in front of her eyes.

Nene: Wow... mga spaceship... bakit sila nandito? At nasaan ba ang mga piloto nila?
Bubbly girl's voice: Mga piloto ba kamo? Kami iyon!

Nene turns around to find none other than the five members of the Galaxy Angel Brigade.

Nene: Ha? Mga Galaxy Angels? Napapanood ko lang kayo sa TV, pero bakit napunta kayo rito?

The bubbly girl, Milfeulle, approaches Nene.

Milfeulle: Ah! Siguro'y ikaw ay isa sa mga fans ng show namin, no? Kung gayon, ikinagagalak namin kitang makita!
Nene: Ehehe... meron pa akong misyon, kaya kailangan ko na ngayong umalis.
Milfeulle: Huwag muna! Mukhang napapagod ka kasi, eh! Heto, nag-bake ako ng pineapple upside-down cake para sa iyo!
Nene: Thanks, ha... pero di ako nagugutom. At bakit nag-bake ka sa masukal na gubat na ito?
Milfeulle: Meron kasi akong dalang portable microwave oven...

While the chit-chat between Nene and Milfeulle continues, the other Angels (even Normad) begin to wonder.

Normad: Haaay. Si Milfeulle talaga. Walang ibang iniisip kundi ang pagkain.
Vanilla: Ang pagiging patay-gutom ay isa sa mga pitong nakamamatay na kasalanan.
Forte: Eh, ang mas nakapagtataka sa ating lahat ay kung bakit nabuhay tayo samantalang malaking pagsabog ang naging katapusan ng ating show.
Ranpha: Ewan ko ba. Parang... meron pang misyon na ibibigay sa atin, eh. Namimiss tuloy natin si Col. Volcott.
Mint: (while using her laptop) Mga kasama, mukhang natanto ko na ang dahilan. Nang mangyari ang pagsabog, biglang lumitaw ang isang portal at hinigop tayong lahat nito, pati na ang mga Emblem Frame natin. Nawalan tayong lahat ng malay pagkatapos. Kaya, hayun.
Ranpha: Hmm... mukhang posible ang hypothesis mo, Mint.
Normad: Walang dudang ito ang dahilan kung bakit tayo nasadlak sa kagubatang ito. Maswerte nga kayo at bingyan pa kayo ng isa pang tsantsa matapos ang makailang-ulit na mga kapalpakan ninyo.
Forte: (while pointing her gun at Normad) Hoy, daldalerong manyika, tumigil ka sa mga pambabatikos mo! Daig ka pa ang isang nagtutungayaw na pulitiko!
Normad: Ikaw ang nagsabi niyan, hindi ako.
Mint: Forte, tigilan mo yan! Si Milfeulle kasi...

Forte notices Milfeulle still convincing Nene to eat her cake.

Milfeulle: Sige na, please. Kainin mo na, kundi baka mapanis ito!
Nene: Sabi nang ayokong kumain nito eh! Baka ako ma-diabetes nito!
Forte: (approaching Milfeulle and Nene) Sandali lang, Milfeulle. Kakausapin ko lang ang babaeng sundalong ito.
Milfeulle: Oh... sige. Pero mamaya na ang cake, ha? (walks away from Nene)
Forte: Babaeng sundalo.
Nene: Yes, Forte Stollen?
Forte: Sa wakas ay nakahanap na ako ng isang katapat. Isang sundalong babae na magaling sa pagbaril.
Nene: Oo. Nakita ko sa TV kung gaano ka kahusay bumaril. Medyo nainggit ako, eh.
Forte: Hmph... sinabi mo pa. Pero ngayon, itsa-chalengge kita sa isang Western-style gunfight!
Nene: Hinding-hindi ako tatanggi dito sa challenge mo. Dahil ako, si Nene Tamayo, ang unang nanalo sa Pinoy Big Brother, ay kayang lagpasin ang bawat pagsubok!
Forte: Eh... Nene, ano nga ba ang Big Brother na yan?
Nene: Saka ko na ipapaliwanag ito... pagkatapos nito! (draws her gun)
Forte: Wala nang atrasan ito! (draws her gun)

While the two pose and point their guns at each other, Mint prepares a simulation program that captures the look and feel of the wild, wild West. And the gun duel begins.

FINAL ROUND -- FIGHT!

Kung marunong kang magdasal, umpisahan mo na!

The duel ends, and the simulated Western backdrop turns back into the lush forest.

Forte: Nene... napatunayan mo. Sige, sama ka sa amin bilang tunay na ika-anim na miyembro ng Angel Brigade.
Nene: Hindi ko tatanggihan ang offer mo, pero... kailangan ko talagang umalis. Nagsayang ako ng oras dito.
Forte: Sandali lang, Nene.
Nene: Bakit, Forte?
Forte: Tutal, nandito lang naman kami, pati na rin ang nagsasalitang manyika na si Normad at ang mga Emblem Frame namin... pero wala kaming ginagawa sa ngayon. So... pasali kami sa iyo, ha?
Nene: (Hmm... pagkakatiwalaan ko ba sila? Tutal, medyo palpak ang ibang mga ginawa nila, pero meron din silang mga matagumpay na misyon. Sige nga, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt.) Walang problema, Angel Brigade.
Milfeulle: Yehey! May panibago tayong kasama! Pero... namimiss ko tuloy si Chitose.
Ranpha: Huwag mong babanggitin ang pangalan ng backstabber na iyon.
Mint: Binabalik lang niyan ang mga masasamang gawain niya dati.
Normad: Ewan ko ba kung ano ang nasa utak ng mga tao... puro paghihiganti.
Vanilla: Nasa Diyos pa rin ang paghihiganti.

Nene and the Angels then begin to find the base using the Emblem Frames (Nene rides on Forte's for posterity), and then they set out to accomplish the mission that was bestowed on Nene.

Milfeulle: Ah, Nene, kaya pala pumunta ka rito dahil hinahanap mo ang formula (sudden close-up of face) Spectrum 90.
Mint: Pero, Nene, sa totoo lang, hindi namin alam kung ano ang planetang ito, e.
Nene: OK, Angels. Nandito tayo sa bansang Pilipinas sa planetang Earth.
Normad: At saka, may kutob ako na bumalik tayo sa panahon ng 21st century.
Ranpha: Hmm... lalo nang dumadagdag ang mga misteryo. Bakit kaya?
Forte: Sandali lang, mga kasama. May nasagap ako sa radar. Baka iyan ang kinaroroonan ng base na nagtatago ng formula (sudden close-up of face) Spectrum 90.
Milfeulle: Kami rin.
Nene: Ah! Walang dudang ito nga iyon! Kundi dahil sa inyo, hindi ko matatapos ang misyon ko!

Suddenly, gunfire greets the six.

Nene: Naku! Mukhang na-detect tayo ng mga kalaban!

But before they can fire, the Emblem Frames are quickly shot down. Afterwards, they crash near the base. Nene and the Angels are then driven into unconsciousness.

Some hours elapse, and the six gain consciousness. When they open their eyes, they're immediately greeted by...

Several tents that contain artillery and ammunition.

An old shed that has a moderately-sized satellite dish juxtaposed to it.

Scores of heavily-armed men pointing their guns at the six, who are now bound in ropes.

And the worst part of it all, a familiar face from the Angels' past.

Milfeulle, Mint, Ranpha, Forte, Vanilla: CHITOSE KARASUMA?!
Chitose: Ahahaha! Tumpak, Angel Brigade. Akala ninyong matatapon ako na parang manyikang nawalan na ng silbi? Pwes, nagkakamali kayo. (approaches Nene) At ikaw naman, babaeng palaban, nabisto mo na ang kinalalagyan ng formula (sudden close-up of face) Spectrum 90.
Nene: Oo! At kahit nahuli mo kami, nahulog ka pa rin sa aming bitag.
Chitose: Baliktad yata ang takbo ng isip n'yo. Matagal ko gustong maging kaibigan n'yo. Kaya lang, iniitsapwera n'yo lang ako. Kaya matagal na rin ang aking pagkapoot ko sa inyo, Angel Brigade. Sige, mga bata, sa aking kumpas ng kamay, pagbabarilin sila!
Chitose's underlings: Yes, ma'am!

While Chitose raises her hand, the members of the Angel Brigade think that it's the ultimate end for them, but a voice penetrates their senses.

Col. Volcott's voice: Mga pinakamamahal kong Angels... alam ninyo na wala ako upang gabayan kayo. Pero kahit na wala ako, nasa alaala n'yo pa rin ako. Kaya tibayan ninyo ang loob, Angel Brigade. Ilabas ang mga natatangi ninyong lakas!

Inspired by their beloved commanding officer's message, the Angels suddenly glow, and in a quick flash of light, they break out of their ropes. Nene breaks free too, consequently.

Chitose: Anong...?
Nene: Ngayon, babaeng nagkakanlong ng weapon of mass destruction, humanda ka!

What follows is a scene worthy of pure ownage, as Nene and the Angels decimate Chitose's underlings with their powers.

Chitose: Ah... hindi... ito maaari. Pero kahit na wala ang mga bata ko, ako pa rin ang mananaig! Dahil nasa akin mismo ang tanging botelya ng formula (sudden close-up of face) Spectrum 90. (shows the bottle)
Milfeulle: Chitose! Parang awa mo na! Tigilan mo ang pagmmomodipika sa forumla (sudden close-up of face) Spectrum 90, sa ngalan ng ating pagkakaibigan!
Chitose: Walang kai-kaibigan, walang kumpa-kumpare, walang kama-kamag-anak! Lilkidahin ko kayong lahat, mga walang-puso! Ahahahaha!
Nene: Bah! Ginagaya mo pa si Erap!



A BOSS BATTLE COMMENCES!

After the battle, several police cars arrive at the site. The policemen then arrest Chitose, and Nene successfully retrieves the bottle of the formula...

Normad: (sudden close-up of face) Spectrum 90! Akala ninyo makikita ang mukha ng narrator? Hindi, a!

Some hours later, at the headquarters of AFP's Southern Command...

Southern Command Chief: Reserve Private First-Class Nene Tamayo, congratulations on a job well done.
Nene: (salutes) Sir, yes, sir!
Southern Command Chief: And you, members of the so-called Galaxy Angel Brigade from an another dimension, congratulations for helping Pfc. Tamayo on her task.
Milfeulle, Mint, Ranpha, Forte, Vanilla: (salutes) Sir, yes, sir!
Southern Command Chief: And as a reward for you all, the Chief of Staff of the AFP, as well as the secretary of national defense, recommends you all to a friendly yet upstarting mercenary army: the Nueva Liga Filipina. May you enjoy your company with that army, because it will someday help us all.
Nene, Milfeulle, Mint, Ranpha, Forte, Vanilla: Sir, yes, sir!
Southern Command Chief: All right, you may all go now. Dismissed.

Nene and the Angels then leave the HQ. As they ride on an AFV going all the way north, they'll face a staggering mission prepared for them in Luzon... as future Stars of Destiny.
